Ramrock Red Records have found it difficult to supress their excitement when making the following announcement –T.O.E’s anthemic ‘Say it Loud’ ft. blues supremo Marcus Malone on vocals, is finally unleashed. With an infectious horn section played in by one man called Artembrass, the ridiculously fabulous original version, weighing in at a dancefloor destroying 178bpm was played by Craig Charles in his January 2022 show as ‘one to watch’. The North Street West crew (Ashley Beedle, Darren Morris and Jo Wallace) go all Fania Latin on yo’ass with Darren Morris on keyboards and additional instrumentation, bringing the tempo down to a respectable 146bpm. All versions are guaranteed to cause damage.

Stephen ‘T.O.E.’ Forde is a bit of an enigma who has been involved with the music business for three decades. As part of the outfit Perception, he was an early signing to Gilles Peterson’s ground breaking Talkin’ Loud imprint in the early 1990s with the standout 1992 release, ‘Out and About EP’, with superb remixes from Slam. In 1993, their ‘Take U Higher’ also stands out as Brit Soul of the highest calibre. Since this busy period of musical activity, T.O.E. has been quietly honing his production skills, resurfacing only now with a handful of fully realised tracks where T.O.E 's sound shines brightly on ‘Say It Loud’ and his ‘Slighty Beautiful’ release on Tangential Records. T.O.E likes to call his music ‘Electronic Soul’ and it certainly is that – gaining extensive radio support from the likes of Ashley Beedle (Worldwide FM), Craig Charles (BBC 6 Music) and on many radio stations worldwide. As someone famous once said - “Form is temporary, class is permanent”.

Hailing from Detroit and a supreme vocal stylist, Marcus Malone is equally at home singing blues/rock as he is soulfully phrasing heartfelt lyrics, Marcus was justifiably nominated for Best Recorded Session 2014 by European Blues Awards, the UK Blues Awards 2018 for Best Male Vocalist and by EU Blues awards for Best Vocalist and Best Album ‘A Better Man’ 2017.
