  Ramrock Red Records are delighted to announce a new signing & release to the label - the brilliant electroacoustic duo of singer/songwriter Abigail Hubbard and producer/engineer Matt Smyth, collectively known as Liotia (pronounced Ly – Oh – Sha). Between them, they create a truly enchanting ensemble of original sounds, samples, licks and melodies which fuse electronica, trip hop and jazz influences. Liotia combine Abigail’s haunting vocals and with Matt’s digital soundscapes and drum machine to deliver their original version on the stunning “Blackout” EP. There are also remixes from Ashley Beedle & Darren Morris - the “Africanz On Marz” Vocal Remix and Melodica Dub (melodica courtesy of Dr Rey). Darren was the studio keyboard player for Massive Attack and the elegance of production shines through.

  First up is the haunting Liotia:

  Second 12" is Future Unit:
  London based composer and producer Remy Felix Vas aka Future Unit with remixes from three highly respected remixers - all drawn to the original through social media word of mouth.
  
  The original combines an insistent 70’s Italian library music inspired hook with crunchy beats and cosmic synths. Paired with slacker lyrics, it’s your unofficial alternative summer soundtrack; baggy guitars, eclectic electronica, loose, uplifting sounds, fat, acid basslines and insistent, earworm melodies.
  
  Iberian edits supremo James Rod takes the lazy hazy beats of the original, plumps and pumps them, adds in washes of reverb, bubbly synths and a general feeling of mañana!
  No introductions needed for Ashley Beedle who takes the playfulness of the original vocal and adds a nice thick slice of deft Rhodes work and funk drumming. The outcome? A lazy day in 70’s San-Fran, looking at the Golden Gate bridge through an acid haze!
  Rubberlips' remix takes the original into big soundscape territory recalling Manc legends World Of Twist. The laid back vibe of the original is taken to a sun lounger for a cocktail and a psychedelic or two with added bass from Randy Martin.
  
  Third 12" is New Zealand outfit, Electric Wire Hustle ft Kimbra:
  British legend Ashley Beedle's North Street Edits showcase the songwriting abilities of EWH in a light light, with dub and vocal treatment given to Rodi Kirk & Aron Ottignon's summery, steel-pan version of Brother Sun. One of the highlights from 2015's Aeons EP, Ashley Beedle's North Street Edits breathe new life into a vocal collaboration between Mara TK and Kimbra.
  
  Fourth 12" from Adamski:
  A wild card that was released on the short lived 'Back to the World' label - these two tracks showcase Adamski's foray into the experimental 3/4 waltz time vibe under his 'Fleas on Skis' moniker. Both tracks use legit samples from James Brown and Heatwave.
