Ramrock Blue Records introduce a brand new collaborative force made in musical heaven that combines the talents of NuJazz artist, Maxine Scott and the enigmatic UK Beats creator, Alf.E. After hearing Alf.E’s short but perfectly formed beats, Ramrock boss, Jo Wallace looped them up and sent them to Maxine. Within 20 minutes, Maxine delivered the sun soaked ‘Ya Energy’, the follow up to her huge debut single ‘Erykah U Bad’. With Maxine’s effortless vocals vibing a full set of original lyrics with her additional production and instrumentation licks, the result is a distant heat shimmer over an azure sea, days spent poolside soaking up the sun under a faded parasol and the temperature nudging the mercury upwards….then, the North Street West crew (Ashley Beedle, Darren Morris and Jo Wallace) step up the BPM and inject the track with a sultry RnB mood ladened with brass riffs, flutes and flawless keyboards from Darren Morris. What a vibe indeed.

Maxine Scott is a fresh voice on the scene and her talents were quickly picked up by ADR, providing the vocals on their ‘Back to Dance’ release, which notched up four weeks play on Danny Howard’s BBCR 1’s ‘Dance Party’ show and reached No.1 on Beatport’s Dance charts. Maxine’s debut release on Ramrock Blue, 'Erykah U Bad', scored a 10/10 review in Blues and Soul, along with support from Mixmag and DMC, among others, 922 radio plays globally in 3 months, featuring on over 200 radio stations worldwide, including Mi-Soul's 'Traffic Jam of the Week'. Releases in 2022 for Maxine include ‘Ya Energy’ with new producer Alf.E, along with the follow up, ‘Love Points, on Ramrock Blue and she’ll also be featuring on a solo track as part of the legendary Black Science Orchestra’s 30th Anniversary project!
